Software Expert

Role Overview

Our client, supported by Keystone Recruitment, is driving a high-priority data collection initiative to enhance how AI systems comprehend complex software interfaces and real-world, multi-step professional workflows. Current datasets often lack the expert insight required to accurately reflect authentic software usage. This Software Expert project directly addresses this gap by collecting high-quality screen annotations and recordings from experienced professionals operating within live digital environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Record screen sessions demonstrating specific workflows, with clear verbal narration explaining each step.
• Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
• Follow provided staging instructions to configure specific UI states before recording.
• Utilize a custom capture tool to record workflows accurately and consistently.
• Adhere closely to detailed task guidelines to ensure data quality and usability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with one or more of the following professional tools: Blender, Godot, GIMP, RWings 3D.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow structured instructions precisely.
• Comfortable working independently and consistently meeting tight deadlines.
• Access to a physical Mac and the ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with data collection, annotation, or quality assurance (QA) work.
• Experience recording or documenting professional workflows.
• Comfort working with new tools and staged environments.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Independent contractor engagement.
• Fully remote, offering a flexible schedule.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on evolving needs and performance.
• No access to confidential or proprietary employer information is required.
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on logged hours.
