Software Expert

Role Overview

Keystone Recruitment is seeking a Software Expert to support a high-priority data collection initiative. This project is crucial for improving how AI systems comprehend complex software interfaces and real-world, multi-step professional workflows. Current datasets often lack the expert grounding needed for accurate authentic software usage. This role directly addresses this gap by collecting high-quality screen annotations and recordings from experienced professionals working within real digital environments.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the project phase, a Software Expert may be asked to complete one or both of the following:

• Record screen sessions demonstrating specific workflows, with clear verbal narration explaining each step.
• Annotate screenshots by drawing precise bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
• Follow provided staging instructions to configure specific UI states before recording.
• Use a custom capture tool to record workflows accurately and consistently.
• Adhere closely to detailed task guidelines to ensure data quality and usability.

Required Qualifications

• Strong familiarity with one or more of the following professional tools: Blender, Godot, GIMP, RWings 3D.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to follow structured instructions precisely.
• Comfortable working independently and meeting tight deadlines.
• Access to a physical Mac and ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with data collection, annotation, or QA work.
• Experience recording or documenting professional workflows.
• Comfort working with new tools and staged environments.

• Screen recordings accurately reflect realistic, expert-level workflows.
• Tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining high quality.
• Collected data supports scalable AI research and development initiatives.

Contract & Payment Terms

• Independent contractor engagement.
• Fully remote, flexible schedule.
• Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on needs and performance.
• No access to confidential or proprietary employer information is required.
• Weekly payments via Stripe or Wise based on logged hours.
