Role Overview

Our client is collaborating with a premier AI research team on a significant supervised fine-tuning (SFT) project. The goal is to refine the responses of advanced language models to diverse, real-world queries. We are looking for individuals with exceptional reasoning and communication skills who are interested in applied AI research and desire control over their work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic prompts that mirror natural human questions across various general topics.
• Review and meticulously edit AI-generated responses for clarity, accuracy, and overall usefulness.
• Author high-quality human responses to a selection of prompts.
• Generate subtle variations of prompts to thoroughly test nuanced differences in model behavior.
• Evaluate AI responses based on varying lengths, tones, and instructional styles.
• Identify and document ambiguities, weaknesses, or failure cases within model outputs.

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate from any academic background.
• Demonstrated strong written communication and critical thinking capabilities.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.
• High attention to detail, particularly when comparing similar written content.
• Capacity to work effectively and manage time independently in a remote setting.

Engagement Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous work environment, allowing you to set your own schedule.
• Expected commitment ranges from approximately 10–40 hours per week.
• Project-based engagement with the potential for extensions based on evolving project requirements.
• Work will be performed as an independent contractor.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Compensation is competitive, ranging from $35–$45 per hour, dependent on experience and performance. This is an independent contractor classification.
