Research Assistant
One of Keystone Recruitment's clients is actively seeking generalist experts to support a significant project with a prominent AI research partner. This initiative aims to construct and refine a comprehensive dataset of human-aligned tasks, crucial for the supervised fine-tuning (SFT) of cutting-edge AI models.
As a Research Assistant, you will be instrumental in generating realistic prompts, meticulously evaluating AI outputs, and iteratively refining responses to guarantee their clarity, quality, and alignment with human reasoning. This project-based, short-term opportunity is ideal for professionals who possess strong analytical capabilities and versatile writing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create base prompts across a diverse spectrum of generalist topics.
- Review and revise AI-generated responses for clarity, accuracy, and logical soundness.
- Develop structured prompt-response iterations, exploring variations in tone, length, and instruction style.
- Identify model failure points and contribute to ongoing benchmarking efforts.
- Apply consistent quality standards across various content types, including summaries, Q&A, synthesis, and analytical tasks.
- Provide structured feedback to enhance dataset consistency and reasoning quality.
Ideal Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in research, education, writing, editing, analysis, or closely related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and conciseness.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
- Comfort working autonomously and adapting to evolving task guidelines.
- Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) or AI-assisted writing tools is a valuable asset.
Engagement Details
- Fully remote and asynchronous work environment, allowing you to set your own schedule.
- Expected commitment: 10–25 hours per week.
- Initial project duration: approximately 2 weeks, with potential for extension.
- Assignments are batch-based, offering a flexible work structure.
Compensation & Contract Terms
- Compensation ranges from $35–$45 per hour, based on experience and performance.
- Potential for performance-based bonuses.
- Weekly payments processed via supported payment platforms.
- This is an independent contractor classification.
- Project scope may be adjusted (extended, shortened, or concluded) based on performance and business needs.
- No access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution is required.
