Role Overview
The Research Assistant Remote role supports a leading AI research team on a large-scale supervised fine-tuning (SFT) initiative. This project-based opportunity is ideal for current undergraduates, graduates, or recent graduates with strong writing, reasoning, and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create realistic prompts reflecting natural question asking.
- Review and edit AI-generated responses for clarity and accuracy.
- Write high-quality human-authored responses to selected prompts.
- Generate prompt variations to test model behavior.
- Evaluate responses on tone, length, and style.
- Identify ambiguities or weaknesses in model outputs.
Ideal Qualifications
Candidates should be current undergraduate or graduate students, or recent graduates possessing strong communication, writing, and critical thinking skills. Attention to detail, the ability to synthesize information, and comfort working independently in a remote environment are essential.
Engagement Details
- Fully remote and asynchronous work.
- Flexible schedule with approximately 10–40 hours per week commitment.
- Project-based engagement with potential extension.
- Independent contractor classification.
Compensation & Contract Terms
Compensation is USD 35–45 per hour, based on experience and performance.
