Research Assistant Remote

Role Overview

The Research Assistant Remote role is a project-based opportunity with a leading AI research team, focused on supervised fine-tuning (SFT) to improve language models. This job is fully remote and ideal for strong writers and critical thinkers who can work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic prompts reflecting natural questions.
• Review and edit AI-generated responses for clarity and accuracy.
• Write high-quality human-authored responses.
• Generate prompt variations to test model behavior.
• Evaluate responses across varying tones and lengths.
• Identify ambiguities and weaknesses in outputs.

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate.
• Strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to synthesize information and pay high attention to detail.
• Experience working independently and managing time in a remote setting.

Engagement Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous work with flexible scheduling.
• Commitment of approximately 10–40 hours per week.
• Project-based engagement with potential for extension.
• Independent contractor classification.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Compensation is between USD35–45 per hour, based on experience and performance. Applicants will work as independent contractors.
