Role Overview

Keystone Recruitment's client is collaborating with a leading AI research team on a significant supervised fine-tuning (SFT) initiative aimed at improving how advanced language models respond to real-world questions. We are actively seeking strong writers and critical thinkers to join as independent contractors, offering a flexible, project-based engagement. Key Responsibilities of a Research Assistant

• Create realistic prompts that mirror how people naturally ask questions across diverse topics.
• Review and meticulously edit AI-generated responses to ensure clarity, accuracy, and overall usefulness.
• Produce high-quality, human-authored responses for specific prompts.
• Generate subtle variations of prompts to thoroughly test nuanced differences in model behavior.
• Evaluate AI responses across various lengths, tones, and instructional styles.
• Identify ambiguities, inherent weaknesses, or potential failure cases within model outputs.

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate.
• Demonstrated strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort in comparing similar written responses.
• Capability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

Engagement Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous work, allowing you to set your own schedule.
• Expected commitment of approximately 10–40 hours per week.
• Project-based engagement with the potential for extension based on ongoing project requirements.
• Work performed on an independent contractor basis.

Compensation & Contract Terms

This role offers competitive compensation between $35–$45 per hour, with the specific rate based on your experience and performance. This is an independent contractor classification.
