Role: Research Assistant

Keystone Recruitment's client is collaborating with a leading AI research team on a significant supervised fine-tuning (SFT) project. This initiative aims to enhance how advanced language models interpret and respond to real-world inquiries. We are looking for talented writers and critical thinkers to join as independent contractors, offering a flexible, project-based engagement. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with strong reasoning and communication skills who want to contribute to applied AI research while managing their own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic prompts that mirror how individuals naturally ask questions across a range of general subjects.
• Review and meticulously edit AI-generated responses to ensure clarity, accuracy, and overall usefulness.
• Compose high-quality human-authored responses for specific prompts.
• Generate slight variations of existing prompts to thoroughly test subtle differences in model behavior and performance.
• Evaluate AI responses based on varying lengths, tonal qualities, and instructional methodologies.
• Proactively identify any ambiguities, inherent weaknesses, or potential failure points within the model's outputs.

Ideal Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate.
• Demonstrated strong written communication abilities and excellent critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in synthesizing complex information clearly and accurately.
• Possesses a high degree of attention to detail, particularly when comparing similar written responses.
• Capable of working autonomously and managing time effectively within a remote work environment.

Engagement Details

• This role is fully remote and asynchronous, allowing you to work on your own schedule.
• An expected commitment of approximately 10–40 hours per week.
• Project-based engagement, with the potential for extension depending on project requirements.
• Work will be performed as an independent contractor.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Compensation ranges from $35 to $45 per hour, determined by experience and performance. This is classified as an independent contractor position.
