Research Assistant

Role Overview

Keystone Recruitment is seeking generalist experts to support a large-scale project with a leading AI research partner. The objective of this Research Assistant role is to create and refine a diverse dataset of human-aligned tasks for supervised fine-tuning (SFT) of frontier AI models. Generalists will generate realistic prompts, evaluate AI outputs, and iterate on responses to ensure clarity, quality, and alignment with human reasoning. This is a short-term, project-based opportunity ideal for professionals with strong analytical skills and versatile writing abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create base prompts across a wide range of generalist topics
• Review and revise AI-generated responses for clarity, accuracy, and logical soundness
• Develop structured prompt-response iterations using variations in tone, length, and instruction style
• Identify model failure points and contribute to benchmarking efforts
• Apply consistent quality standards across diverse content types (e.g., summaries, Q&A, synthesis, analytical tasks)
• Provide structured feedback to improve dataset consistency and reasoning quality

Ideal Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in research, education, writing, editing, analysis, or related fields
• Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
• Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills
• Comfortable working independently under evolving task guidelines
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) or AI-assisted writing tools is a plus

Engagement Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous — set your own schedule
• Expected commitment: 10–25 hours per week
• Initial project duration: approximately 2 weeks, with potential extension
• Batch-based assignments with flexible structure

Compensation & Contract Terms

• $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience and performance
• Potential performance-based bonuses
• Weekly payments via supported payment platforms
• Independent contractor classification
• Project scope may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and business needs
