About the Project Manager III Role

Keystone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager III to support advanced research initiatives in augmented and virtual reality technologies. This critical role focuses on managing research and feature development programs within a highly interdisciplinary environment, spanning audio signal processing, machine learning, perception science, and emerging immersive systems. You will work closely with researchers, engineers, and technical specialists to ensure structured execution across complex, fast-moving innovation projects. This position requires a full-time onsite presence in Redmond, WA.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of research and feature development projects, developing comprehensive timelines, milestones, and execution roadmaps. Coordinate cross-functional workflows to ensure timely completion and adherence to project goals.
• Risk & Stakeholder Management: Monitor project progress diligently, proactively identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies to maintain schedule and quality targets. Provide clear and concise status updates, dependency management, and blocker communications to all relevant stakeholders.
• Research & Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with teams specializing in audio signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences. Facilitate strong alignment and collaboration between scientific and engineering stakeholders, supporting coordination efforts between research and applied development teams.
• Operational & Procurement Support: Oversee the procurement of essential research equipment and vendor services, ensuring accuracy in documentation and diligent task tracking. Provide assistance with various operational and non-research initiatives as needed to support overall team objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience, specifically within research, hardware development, or product development environments.
• Demonstrated strong ability to effectively manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills, vital for clear stakeholder interaction.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally within diverse teams.
• Capacity to operate effectively and adapt quickly in fast-paced technical environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting research teams or R&D programs.
• Familiarity with audio technologies, signal processing, or machine learning environments.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field (or equivalent experience).
