About the Project Manager III Role at Keystone Recruitment
Keystone Recruitment is seeking an experienced Project Manager III to lead advanced research initiatives in augmented and virtual reality technologies. This critical role focuses on managing research and feature development programs within a highly interdisciplinary environment, encompassing audio signal processing, machine learning, perception science, and emerging immersive systems. You will collaborate closely with researchers, engineers, and technical specialists to ensure structured execution of complex, fast-moving innovation projects.
This is an onsite position, requiring presence five days per week in Redmond, WA.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of research and feature development projects, developing timelines, milestones, and execution roadmaps, and coordinating cross-functional workflows for timely completion.
- Risk & Stakeholder Management: Monitor project progress, proactively identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and communicate status updates, dependencies, and blockers to all stakeholders.
- Research & Technical Collaboration: Partner with teams in audio signal processing, machine learning, and hearing sciences, facilitating alignment across scientific and engineering stakeholders and coordinating between research and applied development teams.
- Operational & Procurement Support: Oversee procurement of research equipment and vendor services, ensure documentation accuracy and task tracking, and assist with operational and non-research initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of project management experience in research, hardware development, or product development environments.
- Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced technical environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting research teams or R&D programs.
- Familiarity with audio technologies, signal processing, or machine learning environments.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field (or equivalent experience).
Work Environment
This is an onsite role in Redmond, WA, within a collaborative, research-driven environment, fostering an interdisciplinary team setting across engineering and scientific functions.
