One of Keystone Recruitment's clients, Mercor, is actively seeking experienced software professionals with strong Office Suite expertise. This critical role supports a high-priority data collection initiative, collaborating directly with leading AI research labs. As an Office Suite Software Expert, you will focus on capturing authentic, real-world workflows within professional office software to significantly improve how AI systems comprehend complex interfaces and multi-step productivity tasks. Your contributions will be instrumental in creating high-quality datasets, vital for training next-generation AI models.

Key Responsibilities

• Record screen sessions, clearly demonstrating Office Suite workflows with verbal narration explaining each step.
• Accurately annotate screenshots by drawing bounding boxes around relevant UI elements.
• Follow provided staging instructions to configure specific UI states before recording.
• Utilize custom capture tools to record workflows consistently and precisely.
• Adhere strictly to task guidelines to ensure optimal data quality and usability.
• Deliver high-quality outputs suitable for advanced AI research and development.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

• Strong hands-on experience with professional office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to meticulously follow precise instructions.
• Comfort working independently and a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Access to a physical Mac and the ability to create a fresh macOS user profile if necessary.

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data collection, annotation, or quality assurance work.
• Experience recording or documenting software workflows.
• Comfort working with new tools and staged environments.

Engagement Details

This is a fully remote, asynchronous independent contractor role, offering a flexible working schedule. Project duration may vary and is subject to extension, shortening, or conclusion based on performance and project requirements. The work primarily involves screen recording, UI annotation, and workflow documentation.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Hourly compensation will be aligned with task scope and expertise, with payments issued weekly via Stripe or Wise. This is an independent contractor engagement; therefore, there is no access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution. Please note, H1-B and STEM OPT candidates cannot be supported at this time.

Eligibility

Applicants must be legally authorized to work as independent contractors in their country of residence.
