Role Overview
Keystone Recruitment is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to contribute professional expertise to an AI research project. You will leverage your occupational knowledge to design questions and tasks that reflect real-world mechanical engineering workflows, helping AI systems understand and reason like domain experts. This is a flexible, long-term remote opportunity for engineering professionals with significant hands-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design realistic mechanical engineering questions and scenarios based on your professional experience
- Translate mechanical workflows, procedures, and technical problem-solving into structured tasks for AI evaluation
- Review AI-generated outputs for technical accuracy, logic, and practical relevance
- Identify errors, gaps, and edge cases in automated engineering reasoning
- Maintain high standards of professional and technical rigor
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of full-time professional experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Technician
- Must be based in the US, UK, or Canada
- Strong expertise in mechanical systems, tooling, maintenance, fabrication, and technical problem-solving
- Ability to clearly document workflows and explain reasoning
- Access to a desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks are not supported)
Project Details
- Minimum commitment: 15 hours per week
- Project duration: Through mid-2026 or potentially longer (subject to change)
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
Compensation & Contract Terms
- Hourly rate: $70–$100, competitive based on experience and location
- Paid weekly via Stripe or Wise
- Engagement as an independent contractor
- Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and project needs
