Role: Mathematics Expert
We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for Mathematics Subject Matter Experts to contribute to a research initiative focused on advancing AI systems.
In this role, you will apply your mathematics expertise to design and curate high-quality, challenging problems that support the development and evaluation of advanced AI models. This is a structured, short-term engagement with potential for extension based on project needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and curate challenging mathematics problems across relevant subject areas
- Review and evaluate AI-generated mathematical solutions for accuracy and clarity
- Provide structured written feedback to improve solution quality and reasoning
- Ensure problems and solutions meet defined quality and formatting standards
- Collaborate with project teams to refine evaluation frameworks
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a degree in mathematics or a closely related field
- Strong foundation in undergraduate- or graduate-level mathematics
- High attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Engagement Details for the Mathematics Expert Position
- Independent contractor engagement
- Fully remote with flexible scheduling
- Expected commitment of approximately 15–20 hours per week, with potential to increase based on availability
- Project duration of approximately 1–2 months, with potential extension
- Hourly compensation: $40
- Weekly payment via secure payment platforms
