About the Licensed Counselor LMFT - Remote Role

We are seeking a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist to join our customer’s team in a remote AI training capacity. In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise in family systems, relational dynamics, and behavioral health to help train and refine AI systems designed to support mental health care delivery. This opportunity blends therapeutic practice with technology innovation to enhance access, quality, and effectiveness in mental health services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and translate real-world therapeutic scenarios into AI training content.
• Develop and document individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Review and evaluate AI-generated therapeutic responses for clinical accuracy and ethical alignment.
• Provide expert insight on relational conflicts, parenting challenges, and family stressors.
• Maintain detailed and compliant documentation including progress notes and evaluations.
• Utilize practice management and billing platforms for realistic workflow modeling.
• Collaborate with engineers and data specialists to improve AI understanding.
• Participate in remote meetings and provide structured feedback on AI performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT or equivalent).
• Proficiency in practice management and billing systems (e.g., EZ2Bill, Confidant, EZClaim, Advantage Software, Psych Advantage, eMDs, Medisoft, SOS Case Manager, SumTime Software).
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Experience using virtual communication platforms such as Google Meet and Zoom.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong empathy and clarity.
• Thorough understanding of ethical, legal, and documentation standards in mental health practice.
• Comfort working independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to AI training, digital mental health platforms, or health technology initiatives.
• Advanced certifications in specialized modalities (e.g., CBT, EMDR, systemic family therapy).
• Bilingual or multilingual proficiency.
• Experience mentoring clinicians or contributing to clinical training materials.
