Keystone Recruitment's global AI-focused client is actively seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Multimodal Image & Video Annotation Specialist to significantly contribute to the development of advanced AI systems. In this essential role, you will be responsible for analyzing and meticulously annotating images and short video clips, identifying key visual elements, contextual details, and the overall narrative flow. Your precise contributions will directly support the training and crucial refinement of next-generation multimodal AI models, enabling them to interpret complex scenes, motion, context, and human interactions with enhanced accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze images and short video clips to identify subjects, objects, environments, actions, and emotions.
• Describe temporal sequences, scene transitions, and interactions within video content.
• Annotate complex visual cues including lighting, mood, spatial relationships, and storytelling elements.
• Follow structured annotation guidelines meticulously to ensure clarity, consistency, and data accuracy.
• Review and validate AI-generated outputs for correctness and relevance, providing critical feedback.
• Collaborate effectively with project leads to refine annotation standards and quality benchmarks.
• Contribute high-quality structured datasets essential for multimodal AI training initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Strong English reading and writing skills with high comprehension, crucial for nuanced annotation.
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow intricate and nuanced instructions precisely.
• Analytical thinking skills and the capacity to accurately interpret context and intent from visual data.
• Comfort working proficiently with digital files and various online collaboration tools.
• Self-motivated and fully capable of working independently and efficiently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in image or video annotation, demonstrating foundational knowledge.
• Familiarity with computer vision or AI-related projects, offering valuable perspective.
• A background in media, communications, design, or visual storytelling is a significant plus.

Engagement Details

• This is an hourly contract assignment (independent contractor), without medical/paid leave benefits.
• A minimum commitment of 20 hours per week (approximately 4 hours/day) is required.
• Successful candidates must be available for a required 4-hour overlap with Pacific Standard Time (PST).
• This is a fully remote opportunity, offering flexibility.
• Potential for extension based on performance and ongoing project needs.
