GIS Specialist Remote

Overview

The GIS Specialist Remote role at Keystone Recruitment involves applying geospatial expertise to support advanced AI model training. This position focuses on precision mapping, spatial data analysis, and the integration of geospatial science with artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and interpret spatial data from aerial imagery, satellite data, and surveys for AI training.
• Prepare detailed maps, charts, tables, and 3D terrain models.
• Delineate geographical features using stereoplotting and computer graphics tools.
• Interpret legal land records to establish property boundaries.
• Design GIS algorithms, data structures, and user interfaces.
• Perform spatial data validation and quality assurance.
• Annotate geospatial datasets for machine learning applications.
• Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to improve geospatial model performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cartography, Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geography, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with GIS, remote sensing, and photogrammetric software.
• Proficiency in spatial data analysis, map preparation, and satellite imagery interpretation.
• Familiarity with algorithm development, data structures, and mapping system design.
• Working knowledge of Python or relevant programming languages.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or professional certifications in GIS or photogrammetry.
• Experience working with AI or machine learning teams.
• Background in property boundary analysis and legal land documentation.
• Familiarity with computer graphics tools and geospatial visualization technologies.
