Job Summary
The GIS Specialist Remote at Keystone Recruitment is a contract role focused on geospatial analysis for advanced AI model training. The role requires expertise in GIS, remote sensing, and spatial data interpretation with a passion for precision mapping and spatial intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and interpret spatial data from diverse sources.
- Prepare detailed maps, charts, tables, and 3D terrain models.
- Delineate geographic features using advanced cartographic tools.
- Interpret legal land records to verify property boundaries.
- Develop GIS-related algorithms, data structures, and interfaces.
- Perform spatial data validation and quality assurance.
- Annotate and structure datasets for machine learning applications.
- Collaborate with AI and engineering teams to improve model performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Must hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Cartography, Photogrammetry, Geomatics, Geography, or a related field with hands-on experience in GIS software, remote sensing, and photogrammetry. Proficiency in spatial data analysis, satellite imagery interpretation, algorithm development, and programming (Python preferred) is essential. Excellent communication and attention to detail are required for independent remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees or professional certifications in GIS or photogrammetry, along with experience in AI/machine learning collaboration and legal land documentation, are advantageous.
