Role Overview

Our client is collaborating with a leading AI research team on a large-scale supervised fine-tuning (SFT) initiative to enhance how advanced language models respond to real-world questions. We are seeking talented writers and critical thinkers to join as independent contractors, offering a flexible, project-based engagement. This opportunity is perfect for individuals with strong reasoning and communication skills who want to contribute to applied AI research while managing their own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Create realistic prompts that mirror natural human questioning across various general topics.
• Review and meticulously edit AI-generated responses for clarity, accuracy, and overall usefulness.
• Author high-quality human responses to selected prompts, setting a benchmark for AI models.
• Generate subtle variations of prompts to analyze nuanced differences in model behavior.
• Evaluate AI responses across diverse lengths, tones, and instructional styles.
• Identify ambiguities, weaknesses, or potential failure cases within model outputs to facilitate improvement.

Ideal Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate with strong academic background.
• Demonstrated strong written communication and critical thinking skills.
• Proven ability to synthesize complex information clearly and accurately.
• High attention to detail and comfort in comparing similar written responses.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
• Applicants from diverse academic backgrounds are highly encouraged.

Engagement Details

• Fully remote and asynchronous, providing complete control over your work schedule.
• Expected commitment of approximately 10–40 hours per week, allowing for flexibility.
• Project-based engagement with strong potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
• Work performed exclusively on an independent contractor basis.

Compensation & Contract Terms

Compensation is competitive, ranging from USD35–45 per hour, based on experience and performance. This is an independent contractor classification.
