Environmental Engineer
We are seeking an Environmental Engineer to apply technical expertise toward the advancement of AI-driven environmental solutions. This remote, hourly contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about sustainability, environmental modeling, and innovative digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee systems to mitigate environmental impacts on water, air, and soil.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments for land use and development.
- Translate real-world environmental scenarios into inputs for AI training.
- Review and validate AI outputs for technical accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including scientists and legal advisors.
- Advise on environmental compliance, remediation, and sustainability initiatives.
- Utilize modeling, GIS, and CAD tools for data analysis and visualization.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and communicate findings clearly.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must have proven experience in environmental engineering, water resources, remediation, or compliance. Proficiency with modeling tools like DHI MIKE SHE, RockWare, MODFLOW, and MATLAB is required, along with capabilities in greenhouse gas management and hazardous materials systems. A strong working knowledge of GIS (ESRI ArcGIS, ArcView) and CAD software (Autodesk AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation) is essential. Excellent communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are also critical.
Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate may also hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license or environmental engineering certification, have experience with AI model training or environmental data annotation and possess an advanced degree in a related discipline.
