About the EHS Specialist Role

We are hiring an experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to work as an AI Trainer on an hourly contract basis. This remote role emphasizes environmental risk assessment, data analysis, and subject matter expertise to support AI-driven environmental protection and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate complex scientific and technical information through reports, presentations, workshops, and hearings.
  • Collect, synthesize, and analyze environmental data using advanced tools.
  • Monitor environmental risks and recommend mitigation and prevention strategies.
  • Review and ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance to government, industry, and environmental programs.
  • Support AI training initiatives by offering domain expertise and annotated datasets.
  • Develop visualizations, presentations, and reports for stakeholder engagement.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficiency with environmental modeling software such as ADMS Pollution and Wolfel IMMI.
  • Experience with database tools including Microsoft Access, SQL, and Tucows ChemBase.
  • Strong GIS and mapping skills using ESRI ArcGIS and Arcinfo.
  • Ability to use visual communication tools like CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven collaboration skills working in remote, cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills in environmental contexts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in AI training or data annotation.
  • Advanced degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health, or related discipline.
  • Professional certifications in environmental management or pollution control.
