Job Title: Criminal Investigator

Keystone Recruitment is seeking experienced Detectives and Criminal Investigators to contribute their expertise to AI training initiatives. In this remote role, you will apply real-world investigative knowledge to help develop and refine advanced AI systems designed to support digital investigations, case management, and crime scene analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide subject matter expertise on investigative procedures and crime scene protocols.
• Review and annotate investigative scenarios for AI model training.
• Document workflows related to interviews, evidence collection, and case file management.
• Contribute insights into evidence preservation and chain-of-custody standards.
• Utilize law enforcement databases and digital tools for dataset structuring.
• Evaluate AI-generated investigative summaries for accuracy and realism.
• Support digital image management and crime scene reconstruction processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams for assessing model performance.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Detective or Criminal Investigator.
• Strong grasp of investigative protocols, evidence collection, and legal standards.
• Experience with NCIC and law enforcement database systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Access, MySQL, digital crime scene software and GIS platforms.
• Familiarity with digital image management, forensic graphics or scene reconstruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to training programs, technical documentation, or policy development.
• Background in forensic technology or criminal justice education.
• Exposure to AI tools, data annotation or digital investigative platforms.
