Role Overview

Our client, a leading technology company, is actively seeking experienced literature professionals for the Content & Literature Specialist role. This project focuses on enhancing AI systems’ performance in complex literary interpretation, synthesis, and analytical reasoning. This is an ideal opportunity for experts with a deep understanding of literary texts and critical analysis who thrive working independently in an asynchronous, project-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design rigorous literature-based tasks across diverse genres, time periods, and analytical frameworks.
  • Edit and evaluate AI-generated responses for clarity, interpretive depth, and alignment with academic standards.
  • Develop prompt variations considering response length, tone, style, and intended audience.
  • Identify and document model failure cases where outputs lack insight, nuance, or accuracy.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with peers and research teams through structured feedback and documentation.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Literature, English, or a related humanities discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in literary teaching, research, publishing, or similar work.
  • Strong grounding in both canonical and contemporary literary works.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to assess reasoning quality and provide structured, actionable feedback.

More About the Opportunity

Expected commitment is 10+ hours per week. Task types include short-form and long-form assignments such such as summarization, synthesis, and open/closed question answering. This is a deliverables-driven structure with expert review layers and quality benchmarks. There is an opportunity for continued collaboration based on performance.
