We are partnering with one of our clients to engage experienced literature professionals on a project basis. Contractors will help develop a diverse dataset of tasks designed to assess and enhance AI systems’ performance in complex literary interpretation, synthesis, and analytical reasoning. This opportunity as a Content & Literature Specialist is ideal for experts with a deep understanding of literary texts and critical analysis who can contribute independently in an asynchronous environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design rigorous literature-based tasks across genres, historical periods, and analytical frameworks.
  • Edit and evaluate AI-generated responses for clarity, interpretive depth, and alignment with academic standards.
  • Develop prompt variations based on length, tone, stylistic requirements, and target audience.
  • Identify and document model failure cases where outputs lack insight, accuracy, or textual grounding.
  • Collaborate asynchronously with peers and researchers through structured feedback and shared documentation.

Ideal Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Literature, English, or a related humanities discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience in literary teaching, research, or publishing.
  • Strong grounding in both canonical and contemporary literary works.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and interpretive analysis skills.
  • Ability to assess reasoning quality and provide clear, structured feedback.

More About the Opportunity

  • Expected commitment: 10+ hours per week.
  • Task types include both short-form and long-form assignments (summarization, synthesis, open/closed QA).
  • Deliverables-driven structure with expert review layers and quality benchmarks.

Application Process

  • Submit a resume or LinkedIn profile outlining relevant academic or professional experience.
  • Complete a short skills questionnaire (a paid trial task may be required).
  • Selected candidates will receive follow-up communication with next steps and additional project details.

Contract and Payment Terms

  • Engagement as an independent contractor.
  • Fully remote with flexible scheduling.
  • Projects may be extended, shortened, or concluded based on performance and business needs.
