One of our global AI research clients is working on advancing large language models by strengthening their reasoning and scientific understanding capabilities. This project focuses on improving AI performance in Biology through structured evaluation, problem design, and high-quality explanatory solutions.
This role provides a unique opportunity to apply advanced Biology expertise while contributing directly to the development and evaluation of cutting-edge AI systems.
Role Overview
As a Biology Expert, you will contribute to fine-tuning large language models using your strong analytical and English comprehension skills. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in Biology, comparable to graduate or PhD-level study, and can break down complex biological concepts into clear, structured explanations.
This opportunity also allows you to gain exposure to AI model evaluation processes and contribute to shaping next-generation intelligent systems.
What You’ll Do
- Design and solve challenging Biology problems to test AI model reasoning
- Develop detailed, step-by-step solutions with rigorous scientific explanations
- Collaborate with researchers to align problem types with evaluation objectives
- Identify areas where AI systems struggle, suchs as conceptual abstraction, multi-step reasoning, and data interpretation
- Contribute to defining new evaluation benchmarks spanning undergraduate to PhD-level Biology topics
- Provide structured feedback to improve model outputs and dataset quality
Requirements
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to provide detailed feedback and annotations
- Creative and lateral thinking abilities
- Excellent written communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Reliable desktop/laptop setup with stable internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s, PhD, or Postdoctoral studies in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
- Strong background in areas such as Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Physiology, or Systems Biology
- Ability to analyze complex biological problems using a structured approach
- Experience explaining biological concepts clearly using simple language, visuals, or structured reasoning
Engagement Details
This is an hourly contract assignment, fully remote, with potential for extension based on performance and project needs. This role does not include medical benefits or paid leave as it is for an independent contractor.
