Role Overview: Trading Operations Specialist, Digital Assets

Keyrock is seeking a dedicated, EMEA-based Trading Operations Specialist to join our EMEA trading operations team. This role involves close collaboration with our trading, treasury, and wider operations teams during EMEA trading hours, focusing on the dynamic digital asset landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing digital asset and fiat trade settlement, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal and external counterparties.
• Performing trade reconciliation from post-trade to settlement to guarantee correctness and timeliness.
• Tracking treasury activities and liaising with trading and finance teams for accurate accounting of asset balances across operations.
• Internally coordinating with wider trading, OTC, and options teams on balances and settlement status, providing administrative and client communication support.
• Executing asset rebalancing and whitelisting crypto addresses across multiple Centralized Exchanges (CEXs) and Decentralized Exchanges (DEXs) and various platforms.
• Managing and adding new banking beneficiaries, supporting trading desks with fiat transfers and settlements.
• Liaising with Keyrock’s bank account managers to confirm cut-off times, fees, and troubleshoot banking services.
• Tracking and alerting internal and external client margin and net open positions, communicating with clients for asset transfers to maintain margin thresholds.
• Monitoring and reporting technical and financial problems, providing support to the development team for process improvements and automation.
• Overseeing and project managing internal operations ticketing processes, working with trading teams to streamline and improve efficiency.
• Enhancing the collection, documentation, and organization of external counterparty FX and OTC trade data for internal cost and best execution tracking.
• Helping improve the efficiency and design of streamlined trade reporting and post-trade settlement procedures.

Background and Experience

• 3+ years of prior trading and/or trading operations experience, with a core focus on settlements and trading reconciliation.
• Strong preference for experience that includes crypto assets.
• Experience in a crypto or traditional finance (TradFi) banking environment, managing multiple currencies and money transfers/wires, including clearing/settlement within cutoff times.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Economics, Engineering, Accounting).

• Demonstrable passion for digital assets and blockchain technologies, with an understanding of asset transfers across CEXes and DEXes.

• Fluent in English.
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to reconcile, track, and present asset treasury and balances to internal and external counterparties.
• **Added bonus:** Familiarity with Python and SQL languages; experience with querying database trade data and generating reports and dashboards.
