Job Description

Job Overview: Production Technician

The Production Technician is a vital role responsible for operating and monitoring high-speed production machinery at Keurig Dr Pepper. This position ensures maximum output while upholding the company's stringent safety and quality standards. You will be actively involved in enhancing manufacturing processes across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and growth initiatives.

This is a full-time opportunity, working an N2 schedule: Friday - Sunday from 5:00pm - 5:30am. Flexibility for overtime is required, as our site operates 24/7. This role is eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus and includes a night shift differential of $3.00 per hour.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, consistently demonstrating safe behaviors.
  • Understand and contribute to improving quality systems and policies, including Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points.
  • Safely operate and monitor advanced high-speed production equipment.
  • Actively participate in resolving production line issues, developing and executing standard work, tracking production data, and engaging in KDP’s lean daily management process.
  • Learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes with team members.
  • Generate and implement ideas for productivity and continuous improvement.
  • Embody KDP's values: Team First, Deliver Big, Think Bold, Being Fearless, and Fair.

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of prior experience with high-speed production manufacturing operation is preferred.
  • 1 year of prior experience monitoring product quality is preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn the mechanics of processing and packaging equipment.
  • Mechanical understanding or prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Self-motivated team player capable of making decisions, communicating effectively, and problem-solving.
  • Comfort with basic computer functions and the ability to quickly adapt to production software.
  • Basic mathematical skills for production calculations.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and stand throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in various temperature and humidity conditions.

Total Rewards:

Pay starts at $19.43 per hour, increasing to $20.46 per hour in the quarter following your 6-month anniversary. Night shift is eligible for an additional $3.00 per hour differential. Benefits are eligible on day one and may include Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Paid Time Off, 401k with company match, and Tuition Reimbursement.
