Job Overview: Production Technician I

The Production Technician I at Keurig Dr Pepper is a critical role focused on monitoring and operating manufacturing equipment while upholding the company's stringent safety and quality standards. This position plays an active part in initiatives aimed at enhancing safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall company culture.

This full-time position is located in Knoxville, TN. Keurig Dr Pepper offers a sign-on bonus of $3,000, paid in three installments after 3, 6, and 9 months of employment, subject to terms.

Shift and Schedule

Typical shifts are Monday - Thursday:

  • 5:00 PM to 5:30 AM
  • 5:30 PM to 6:00 AM
  • 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM

Position Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, consistently demonstrating safe behaviors.
  • Understand and contribute to improving quality systems and policies, including Quality Data System, Safe Quality Food (SQF), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
  • Safely operate and monitor high-speed production equipment after receiving training.
  • Actively participate in resolving production line issues, developing and executing standard work procedures, tracking production data, and engaging in KDP’s lean daily management process.
  • Learn and participate in formal problem-solving processes collaboratively with team members.
  • Generate and contribute productivity and continuous improvement ideas.

Total Rewards

Pay starts at $19.43 per hour, increasing to $20.46 per hour in the quarter following your 6-month anniversary. This position is also eligible for up to a $1.00 shift differential.

Requirements

Qualifications:
  • 1 year prior experience with operation of high-speed production machinery preferred.
  • 1 year prior experience monitoring product quality preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn about processing and packaging equipment functions.
  • Mechanical understanding or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to make decisions, communicate effectively, and problem-solve.
  • Comfort with basic computer functions and the ability to quickly learn production software.
  • Basic mathematical skills for production calculations.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, and stand throughout the entire shift.
  • Ability to frequently kneel, squat, climb stairs/ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and reach overhead with repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in a variety of temperature and humidity conditions.
