Freelance Localization Specialist
KAYAK is seeking a creative and experienced freelance Localization Specialist to provide linguistic and cultural expertise for localizing products and content. In this role, you will translate, review, edit, and proofread content for various channels, ensuring high-quality output that resonates with local audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate, review, and edit content for KAYAK’s products and assets.
- Adhere to style guides to deliver high-quality translations.
- Localize content across landing pages, blogs, newsletters, SEO, social media, and marketing materials.
- Conduct LQA and functionality checks.
- Maintain and refine language-specific style guides and glossaries.
- Adapt workload based on upcoming projects.
Your Profile
Candidates must be fluent in the target language at a native level, have strong command of English, and possess proven experience in website/app localization. Familiarity with Translation Management Systems, SEO, creative translation, and LQA is essential. A background in communication, marketing, linguistics or related fields is preferred. A short test is part of the selection process.
