Key Responsibilities for the AI Prompt Engineer
- Design and iterate prompts and prompt chains for large language models such as GPT-4, Claude, and Mistral.
- Collaborate closely with product and tech teams to develop emotionally intelligent and clinically sound interactions.
- Evaluate Large Language Model (LLM) responses for accuracy, tone, safety, and customer experience, utilizing metrics, product feedback, and business goals.
- Prototype intelligent conversational flows and decision trees tailored for both customers and contact center agents.
- Utilize retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector databases, and feedback loops to continuously enhance model performance.
- Contribute to documenting best practices, prompt libraries, and internal tools to ensure scalable deployment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong foundational understanding of how large language models function and how to effectively guide them through precise prompting.
- Proficiency in Python, with a minimum of 2 years of experience, and practical experience working with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face).
- Demonstrated experience with LangChain, vector databases (such as Pinecone or Weaviate), and RAG pipelines.
- Comfortable working with structured data formats like JSON and YAML, and integrating with REST APIs to build robust, testable prompt frameworks.
- Ability to blend creative thinking (language, UX) with analytical reasoning (model behavior, logic).
Bonus Qualifications
- Exposure to AI voicebots and chatbots is a plus.
