Role: Lead DevOps Engineer

This role oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of AWS-based infrastructure and DevOps processes for a Java SaaS product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and manage AWS environment (e.g., EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3) supporting a Java SaaS application.
  • CI/CD Leadership: Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of DevOps engineers.
  • Automation: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring with Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency in AWS.
  • Security: Implement security best practices with IAM, VPC, and encryption methods.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate closely with Java developers, QA teams, and product managers.
  • Incident Response: Manage troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure and procedures.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on AWS and DevOps trends, recommending new tools as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in DevOps with at least 3 years in a lead role.
  • 5+ years of AWS cloud experience supporting SaaS products.
  • 3+ years working with Java-based applications.
  • Expertise in AWS services, CI/CD, scripting, and containerization.

Certifications (Preferred)

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar certifications.

Soft Skills

Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.
