Position Summary

The Director, Health Systems is a pivotal leadership role responsible for developing and executing strategies to expand the adoption of the Karius Test across Health Systems and IDNs. This role encompasses building executive-level relationships, establishing Centers of Excellence, and cultivating Clinical Champions to drive enterprise-wide adoption. The role coordinates efforts across Sales, Medical, Legal, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment and accountability.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand Karius adoption in health systems and IDNs.
  • Build trusted relationships with executive leaders, administrators, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Secure and manage enterprise agreements, contracts, and renewals with Legal support.
  • Lead Business and Utilization Reviews demonstrating ROI.
  • Identify new expansion opportunities and foster external strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for coordinated execution.
  • Establish Centers of Excellence and cultivate Clinical Champions.
  • Provide insights to refine commercial strategy and product positioning.
  • Represent Karius at executive-level meetings, conferences, and forums.
  • Document activities in Salesforce and support forecasting and pipeline reviews.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years in healthcare partnerships, sales, or business development with strategic account focus.
  • Proven success negotiating high-value partnerships in healthcare/biotech.
  • Strong relationship-building, consultative selling, and complex sales cycle management skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools such as Salesforce and data-driven decision-making.
  • Extensive knowledge of biotech, medical diagnostics, and hospital operations.

Other Information

Reports to: VP of Commercial Strategy and Health Systems

Location: East Coast Region, Remote

Travel: Up to 50%

Physical Requirements: Extended periods of sitting/standing, vision to monitor noise levels. Work typically performed in an office, lab, or clinical environment.
