Overview
Join Kardium Inc. as a Senior Automation Engineer. You will contribute to a ground-breaking medical device for the diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation through innovative automation solutions.
Meaningful Work
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, improving, and supporting software, firmware, and electronics for custom automated equipment including lasers, multi-axis motion systems, pneumatic valves, and heaters.
Responsibilities
- Develop object-oriented software (C# and Java) and firmware.
- Design and integrate control system electronics.
- Capture and document equipment requirements.
- Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews.
- Transfer systems to users and provide ongoing support.
What You Bring To The Team
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant engineering discipline and extensive experience in automation, software, firmware and electronics design. Familiarity with ISO-13849 safety systems and control systems for temperature, motion, or other physical parameters is essential.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation ranges from $108,000 to $170,000 CAD annually. Permanent employees participate in a stock option plan along with additional benefits and a diverse, inclusive working environment.
Location
This is a hybrid position based in Burnaby, BC.
