What Interview Engineers Do
As an Interview Engineer at Karat, you will facilitate technical interviews with software developers globally. Your role is crucial in creating inclusive hiring processes by mitigating bias, enhancing hiring signals, and delivering objective evaluations. These skills are essential for building and managing effective teams in both startups and large enterprises. Specifically, you will:
- Interview: Facilitate technical interviews using Karat's platform. Focus on creating an enjoyable candidate experience while assessing fundamental coding skills and technical knowledge.
- Evaluate: Provide detailed input on the candidate's performance, coding style, communication skills, answers to knowledge questions, and overall coding approach.
- Partner: Collaborate with Karat to test new content, processes, and products, contributing to the continuous improvement of our interviewing solutions.
The Experience You Will Bring
To succeed in the Interview Engineer role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.
- Excellent English communication skills (both written and oral), demonstrating a high level of professionalism and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Reliable access to a working webcam, microphone, and a stable Internet connection.
- Prior experience conducting technical interviews is preferred, covering areas such as data structures and algorithms.
