Events and Partnerships Manager

The Events and Partnerships Manager at Just Right Reader is a highly execution-focused role, coordinating the planning, logistics, execution, and follow-up for all company events and conference participation. This position ensures all events are delivered on time, on brand, and with strong internal alignment, while also supporting partner-facing communication and managing event tracking, materials, and post-event follow-through. The ideal candidate will have a background in education, an understanding of school district leadership, and a proven ability to work independently in fast-paced, remote environments.

Key Responsibilities

Event Management
  • Coordinate end-to-end logistics for events, conferences, webinars, workshops, and partnership gatherings (timelines, schedules, vendor needs, onsite details).
  • Serve as the primary coordination point between event hosts, state organizations, internal teams, and onsite staff to ensure smooth execution.
  • Manage event planning workflows in Asana, including checklists, deadlines, internal assignments, and status updates.
  • Coordinate event materials and onsite readiness (print assets, QR codes, business cards, booth needs, shipping, and supplies).
  • Support travel logistics and onsite coordination for staff attending conferences and partnership events.
  • Schedule and run internal pre-event alignment meetings to confirm roles, final details, and deliverables.
  • Lead post-event wrap-up processes, including debrief coordination, documentation, and follow-up handoffs to appropriate teams.
Data Ownership & Hygiene
  • Own event- and partnership-related data accuracy across systems, including attendee lists, leads, partner records, and campaign attribution in HubSpot.
  • Establish and maintain consistent processes for event data capture, tagging, uploads, and post-event cleanup.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure event data flows correctly into pipelines and follow-up workflows.
Analytics & Reporting
  • Track and report on event and partnership performance metrics, including attendance, engagement, lead volume, lead quality, and downstream outcomes.
  • Build and maintain simple dashboards or recurring reports to share event ROI and partnership impact with Sales and Leadership.
  • Analyze trends across events and partnerships to inform future investments, prioritization, and strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience coordinating logistics, timelines, and communication for events, programs, or partner-facing work, particularly in education or nonprofit settings.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple timelines at once.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and comfort working in tools such as Asana, HubSpot, Slack, and Zoom.
  • Experience with data collection.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and ability to coordinate across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail oriented, motivated and proactive.
  • Ability to travel for select events and support onsite execution as needed.

Success in This Role

Success as the Events and Partnerships Manager is defined by consistently well-organized, professionally executed events delivered on time and within budget. Internal teams will have clear visibility into event plans, responsibilities, and deadlines.
