About Your Role
The Software Engineer II Front End on our Platform team will focus on foundational services, frontend foundations, and developer experience. This includes building shared frontend libraries, optimizing build pipelines, and enhancing developer tools.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain shared frontend libraries and component frameworks.
- Enhance workflows for frontend engineers and streamline CI/Deployment processes.
- Advocate modern frontend development, accessibility, and performance optimizations.
- Provide guidance and documentation to product teams using the platform.
- Utilize observability tools to monitor and improve application performance.
- Collaborate with product engineers and designers for platform improvements.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of frontend development experience.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and experience with React, Vue, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with module bundlers and build tooling such as Webpack, Vite, or esbuild.
- Familiarity with frontend performance optimization and monitoring tools like Datadog RUM, Sentry, or Lighthouse.
- Understanding of CI/CD and tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Passion for developer experience improvement through tooling, automation, and documentation.
Nice to Have
- Experience on a Platform team or building tools for developers.
- Contributions to design systems or shared component libraries.
- Familiarity with micro frontends and scaling frontend architecture patterns.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation includes a base salary, equity, and a variety of benefits. For the U.S., the base salary ranges from $120,000 to $155,000 USD. For Canada, the base salary ranges from $98,000 to $122,000 CAD.
