Work Environment
Juniper Square offers flexible work arrangements including a fully remote experience and physical offices located in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Our team collaborates across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England.
About Your Role as Senior Fund Accountant
Join our fast-paced start-up environment as we build out our Fund Administration service for private markets. You will partner with clients, fund accounting teams, and onboarding teams to deliver accurate accounting and reporting services for customers in Real Estate, Private Equity, and Venture Capital sectors. Your role is pivotal in shaping our service offering and ensuring a best-in-class experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support decision-making for team buildout and operational policies.
- Define and implement fund administration workflows and process efficiencies.
- Interface with clients to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Act as a technical accounting expert advising on key business decisions.
- Perform accounting, analytical, and financial reporting duties.
- Review waterfall calculations, capital calls, and distributions per LP agreements.
- Prepare asset- and fund-level performance metrics (IRRs, TVPI, etc.).
- Assist in external client, regulatory, and annual audit reporting.
- Research and interpret the impact of recent accounting developments.
Qualifications
- 3+ years experience in fund accounting or audit with exposure to private funds.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience with Investran preferred and complex fund structures.
- Familiarity with waterfall calculations and performance metrics.
- Passion for technology and system implementation.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with excellent attention to detail.
Compensation & Benefits
For the U.S., a base salary range of $95,000 - $100,000 is offered, with competitive local pay and benefits available in Canada as well.
