Job Description

About You and What You Bring

As a Junior UX Designer, you are able to create sketches, wireframes, sitemaps, user flows, and prototypes to shape your ideas for the right interaction. You enjoy discussing small interaction details but also have a sense for visual design. Importantly, you know how to distinguish between main and secondary issues in a design process.

You are aware of UX patterns and industry standards, including accessibility guidelines like WCAG, enabling you to design user-friendly and inclusive experiences. You have a systematic way of working and can clearly substantiate design choices to both clients and colleagues. You design iteratively and know the right level of detail to convey your message.

You thrive in situations where you learn new things, switch tasks quickly, and don't mind being involved in multiple projects simultaneously. You understand the basic principles of front-end development and can align your work with developers to achieve the right implementation. You are curious about what drives users of all types and have an interest in conducting interviews and user tests.

What We're Looking For

  • You are available for 36-40 hours per week.
  • You have recently started working or graduated from CMD, Digital Design, or Design for Interaction.
  • You speak fluent Dutch and English.
  • You enjoy working at least 2 days a week in the office.
  • You have a strong grasp of Figma.

What We Offer You

Despite being over 20 years old, Jungle Minds continuously reinvents itself. Currently, Jungle Minds consists of 10 smart and driven colleagues who enjoy working on diverse challenges for various clients every day. You will work in a small team where you have significant influence on the company's success.

You will be given responsibility but also sufficient coaching to work on your personal development and career growth. For example, you will have a coaching session with your Lead every two weeks. This coincides with our High Friday; an afternoon where we exchange knowledge and experiences.

Furthermore, we offer:

  • A salary of € 2,500 to € 3,000 per month, depending on your experience.
  • A workplace in a monumental building in Amsterdam-West, near Westerpark.
  • The option to work remotely 8 weeks per year.
  • Focus on personal development with a dedicated development budget.
  • The possibility to work partly from home.
  • Great colleagues from whom you can learn.
