Job Description

Role Purpose

The Privacy Program Manager serves as the operational engine of Jumio’s global privacy program. This role translates privacy and AI governance requirements into actionable project plans, processes, and measurable outcomes. It is a hands-on execution role that supports the Global Head of Privacy and collaborates across Product, Engineering, Support, and other departments to integrate privacy requirements into daily operations.

This role strengthens Jumio’s trust, compliance readiness, and responsible data and AI technology usage by creating structure, driving cross-functional coordination, and implementing scalable governance processes to meet evolving regulatory standards while maintaining operational excellence.

Example Responsibilities

  • Manage privacy program project portfolio including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Utilize Jira and Confluence to document processes and track projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and report on privacy program metrics and KPIs.
  • Oversee end-to-end Data Subject Request processes ensuring timely, accurate responses.
  • Maintain privacy policies and Records of Processing Activities (RoPA).
  • Project manage AI governance requirements, including EU AI Act compliance.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams for AI model inventory management.
  • Coordinate the AI Governance Committee operational activities.
  • Drive implementation of technical and procedural controls for compliance.
  • Assist in developing and deploying privacy and responsible AI training.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed privacy principles in workflows.

Experience And Qualifications

3 to 5 years in privacy program management or similar roles, strong organizational skills, understanding of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and the ability to work with technical teams on data flows, APIs, and machine learning models. Excellent communication skills and strong execution orientation are required.

Great To Have

IAPP AIGP certification or similar credentials, experience in high-risk data environments (biometrics, fintech, healthtech), familiarity with privacy tools (Transcend, Securiti.ai, Jira, Confluence), and experience in a fast-paced technology company.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary ranges from CAD 153,000 to 167,000, with additional benefits including medical and dental insurance, health and wellness programs, peer recognition, and flexible time off for Canadian employees.
