Role Overview
The Data Intern at Jumio Corporation plays a vital role in advancing computer vision and fraud detection projects. Reporting to a Machine Learning Engineer, the intern assists in biometric data collection, algorithm testing, and model validation.
Responsibilities
The intern will:
- Contribute to computer vision and fraud detection projects.
- Utilize Python, MATLAB, PyTorch, and TensorFlow for image processing.
- Collaborate with the research team on benchmarking and ROC analysis.
- Ensure precision in data collection, labeling, and algorithm testing.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications
Required:
- Enrollment in a graduate program in computer science, computer/electrical engineering, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with image processing libraries.
- Understanding of benchmarking metrics and high attention to detail.
- Immediate availability to start.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of biometric modalities, eKYC, and presentation attacks.
- Understanding of databases, AWS cloud computing, SageMaker, and S3 buckets.
