Job Summary
JRM is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst with strong Windows-based IT administration skills and hands-on experience with modern information security tools. Reporting to the Manager of Information Security, the candidate will evaluate, test, and deploy emerging security technologies, ensuring proactive defense and robust governance.
Responsibilities
- Governance & Risk Management: Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls; maintain risk registers and support risk assessments.
- Windows IT Administration & Hardening: Utilize Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and PowerShell for secure system administration and compliance.
- Identity Security & Access Management: Support identity governance, privileged access controls, MFA, and conditional access policies across Microsoft Entra ID and other providers; assist in onboarding and offboarding security processes.
- Phishing Defense & Awareness: Manage phishing simulation campaigns and user education through security awareness platforms.
- Innovation & Emerging Technology Evaluation: Participate in the research, evaluation, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity tools and cloud security solutions, including SIEM and SOAR platforms.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of IT administration experience focused on Windows environments with familiarity in Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra ID), third-party IDP providers, Intune, and modern endpoint security tools. Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, documentation, emerging cybersecurity tools, and scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash is required.

Salary Information
For roles performed in New York City, the annual salary ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, with actual compensation based on experience and market conditions.
