About the EMEA Chief Data Office (CDO)

The EMEA Chief Data Office (CDO) operates as a vital part of the broader Firmwide Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO). Its primary responsibility is to champion the adoption of the Firmwide Chief Data Office Data Management Strategy within the EMEA region. This includes ensuring that data policies, governance frameworks, and established standards are consistently and effectively applied across all Lines Of Businesses and legal entities operating within EMEA.

Job Responsibilities for the Vice President, Data Products & AI Solutions (EMEA)

  • Create and lead the EMEA CDO Data Products and AI Solutions workstreams, setting the strategic direction for data product development and AI integration in the region.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Firmwide CDO Data Products and AI strategy, collaborating with EMEA stakeholders to comprehensively document their specific requirements and needs.
  • Partner closely with Firmwide Program leads to ensure that EMEA-specific requirements are meticulously factored into global program planning and execution.
  • Work in conjunction with Compliance, Legal, Government Relations, Technology, and Cybersecurity Policy and Partnerships teams to stay abreast of AI-related regulatory initiatives across the EMEA region and assess their potential impact on the EMEA data landscape.
  • Where necessary, coordinate and manage other regulatory-specific projects mandated by EMEA jurisdiction or Legal Entity regulations.
  • Proactively promote and enhance awareness of a robust data culture throughout the entire franchise.
  • Collaborate with EMEA CDO colleagues to define the regional data agenda and strategy, ensuring alignment with global firmwide policies and adherence to local regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Government Relations, Technology, and Cybersecurity Policy and Partnerships to remain informed about data-related regulatory initiatives across the EMEA region and evaluate their impact on the overall data landscape.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • B.A. in Finance or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a finance or operations-related field, with a strong background in leading financial institutions.
  • Demonstrable experience in Artificial Intelligence is a mandatory requirement for this role.
  • Good understanding of data flows and robust data controls.
  • Possess clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to effectively tailor messages to various levels of management.
  • Strong aptitude for collaborating effectively with a diverse range of lines of businesses and functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A highly motivated individual with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, including proficiency with PitchPro.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, demonstrating flexibility and capability in engaging with various functions, locations, and businesses.
