Job Description

Software Engineer

JPMorgan Chase is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing SRE, stability, and modernization strategies for complex applications. You will translate requirements into actionable software insights, build and maintain custom architectures, and develop bespoke workflow scheduling tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute SRE, Stability and modernization strategies/roadmaps for complex applications.
  • Translate requirements into software insights for operational users.
  • Build and maintain custom-built architecture and bespoke workflow scheduling tools.
  • Build enterprise applications and design/develop full stack components to complement legacy architecture.
  • Design and build cross-functional software for internal and vendor integration.
  • Develop and automate large-scale, high-performance workflows.
  • Drive deliverables from start to finish and provide guidance and mentorship to other developers.

Qualifications:

Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Engineering (any), Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, IT Project Manager, IT Consultant, or related occupation.

Required Skills:

  • Five (5) years of experience with:
    • Developing code in C#, .Net Framework and MVC Framework.
    • Developing .Net Core enterprise applications hosted across a hybrid infrastructure (Linux, Windows OS, AWS, Azure).
    • Designing and deploying web services architecture (REST, SOAP, microservices) in a hybrid environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Working with CI/CD principles and tool stacks (Jenkins, Terraform, Python, Spinnaker, AWS CodeDeploy, Snyk Code, SonarQube, Jira, Confluence, Nautilus Labs, Sauce Labs, BlazeMeter, TestSight, SeaLights, JMeter).
    • Designing, developing, and testing front-end applications using JavaScript, HTML, Typescript, XML, Angular, JSON, and Silverlight.
    • Working with SQL and DB modeling, development (SQL Server BCP, SSIS, SSRS, DB Modeling, Oracle).
    • Working with ETL and integrating ETL workloads into a .NET enterprise stack using Pentaho.
    • Coding, testing, and deploying applications in Java and Linux.
    • Designing and building applications with financial SRE requirements (Geneos, Dynatrace, Control-M, Micro Focus Reflection).
    • Collaborating with business users and supporting user-defined tools (QlikView, Business Objects).
    • Designing and implementing applications for integration into enterprise messaging platforms (MQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Three (3) years of experience with:
    • Deploying, supporting, and integrating in-house components with Advantage Fee suite Commercial software.
    • Developing and supporting invoicing software and financial applications.
    • On-premises and cloud scripting (Shell scripting, PowerShell scripting, Teradata).
  • Any amount of experience with:
    • Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid SDLC in a scrum structure.
    • Translating requirements using application architecture and data architecture disciplines.
    • Using and deploying tools including Splunk, GIT, Cucumber, Junit, Automated Testing, Blackbox Testing, Functional Testing, Manual Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, System Integration Testing, Unit Testing, White Box Testing, and User Acceptance Testing.
