Software Engineer III - Python, Playwright at JPMorganChase

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for you to take your software engineering career to the next level.

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Bank’s Payments Technology Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand requirements, and identify opportunities to propose optimized automation solutions.
  • Demonstrate full ownership of deliverables, ensuring high standards of quality and adherence to project timelines.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in Python, Playwright, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple automation deliveries and diverse stakeholders, consistently ensuring high-quality outcomes even under pressure.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming language Python along with database querying languages SQL.
  • Hands-on Experience in FAST API, Web UI, API, Database automation.
  • Experience in handling and automating large volumes of diverse input files, including CSV, JSON, and XML formats.
  • Experience in agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) including ChatGPT, Google Bard, and related platforms.
  • Exposure to frameworks and techniques such as Lang Chain, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and fine-tuning of LLMs.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning methodologies, including both supervised and unsupervised learning, as well as practical application of LLMs.
  • Proficient in building data pipelines using Py Spark and Databricks.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Experience with React JS front-end development is a plus.
  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
