Risk Management Transaction Risk Senior Officer

The TS Payments Risk team provides product risk expertise on TS Payments Products, independently challenges the structure and suitability of the TS Payments Products offered to a client and approve product specific deviations, where relevant. As an associate in TS Payments Risk you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert for WCR on the payments Lines of Business, product offerings, payments flows and systems. The Team establishes the minimum requirements and risk management practices that govern the risk associated with TS Payments Products.
Job Responsibilities
- Review TS client credit downgrades, bankruptcies, receiverships, liquidations and assignment of the benefits of creditors.
- Develop strong relationships and partner with bankers, credit officers, special credit group, legal, operations, Bankruptcy Service Operations and TS sales and service for risk coverage including downgrades and deterioration events including bankruptcies.
- Prepare for events based on market activity or upcoming events including client, event and country crisis management, Rapid Exposure Drills (RED) risk mitigation actions.
- Conduct thorough deep dive risk assessments of TS Payments Products, identifying potential credit (and other) risks, and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Analyze data and leverage analytical expertise and TS Payments product knowledge to develop targeted updates for management, portfolio reports and support adhoc strategic asks
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks in the Treasury Services landscape, and proactively adjust risk management strategies as needed.
- Work with senior team leads to make decisions balancing the best interests of the firm and clients, to maximize beneficial outcomes.
- Assist in developing policy and procedure to drive governance, awareness and control across credit risk with regards to Payments.
- Own executing against daily deliverables and own and contribute to medium/long-term projects including opportunities to participate in working groups and help drive the risk technology agenda.
