Job Description

In the Risk Execution and Strategy team, you will be part of a User Acceptance Testing team that supports the ongoing execution and implementation of business-critical strategic initiatives. This Risk Associate role will partner with technology groups, business partners, project analysts/managers, and external vendor resources to plan and execute testing. Individuals will be responsible and accountable for managing all aspects of the business testing function, defining strategies and approaches for User Acceptance. This function is considered complex in nature with significant business impact, supporting the testing and implementation of business-critical strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Understanding the intent of a business requirement.
• Formulating test approach and test plan, detailing dependencies and risks involved.
• Execution of business scenarios in a UAT environment.
• Partnering and collaborating with stakeholders for clarifying queries and sharing testing status.
• Ensuring testing artifacts are updated and saved as appropriate.
• Reconciling test results from different tests and different groups.
• Incorporating process enhancements related to tools and practices to unlock greater efficiencies and effectiveness.
• Partnering with the UAT Manager/Lead to ensure testing readiness and execution milestones are completed.
• Responsible for helping to facilitate quality testing practices in support of various products.

Automation Activities (if applicable)

• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders and provide consistent follow-up on the status of automation testing.
• Responsible for assessing, creating, and building automation tools for gaining efficiency or cost reduction.
• Reconciling test automation results with expected manual results.

Required Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing, formulating test plans/approach, scenarios, and scripts.
• Experience with JIRA process, understanding process flow and task creation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Confluence, qTest tool.
• Writing and executing queries in SQL.
• Knowledge in Unix operating system.
• Experience with Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication with the ability to edit and prepare executive-level communications.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships.
• Intellectual curiosity with a proven ability to learn quickly.
• High degree of initiative, self-direction, and ability to work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills And Capabilities

• Experience with mainframe screens, business rules engines.
• Understanding of credit card lifecycle and card transactions processing.
• Experience with risk processing.
