Regulatory Reporting Data Strategy Business Analyst - Associate

Are you ready to make a significant impact in the rapidly evolving world of Regulatory Data Strategy? Join our International Reg Data Strategy team to drive critical initiatives for sustainable consumption of complete, accurate and timely data from firm-wide strategic sources to help Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB) Finance improve Regulatory Reporting data quality. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a multi-region team driving the consumption strategy for Regulatory Reporting Platforms across EMEA, APAC and LATAM.

As an Associate - Regulatory Data Strategy within the CIB Global Program Management organisation, you will play a pivotal role in leading data analytics and data management to verify and validate data across strategic sources and ensure accuracy, quality, coverage and consumption readiness for key regulatory, strategic and transformation initiatives. You will collaborate with Finance Controllers, Regulatory Reporting Teams, Technology and Program Managers to ensure alignment with business needs and priorities. Your role will involve building stakeholder trust, scoping data needs, and demonstrating business value.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with EMEA, LATAM and APAC stakeholders reviewing Regulatory Reporting data needs against strategic platform capabilities whilst assessing improvement possibilities in existing processes.
  • Propose solutions that address business challenges working alongside Product Owners, Technology and other Corporate functional areas to ensure that solutions are implemented effectively and meet business requirements.
  • Conduct data attribution, profiling, coverage, and quality analysis to confirm upstream data is fit for regulatory consumption.
  • Govern and coordinate roll out of target state strategic operating model to support business needs and regulatory obligations.
  • Perform adhoc data analysis to uncover insights that drive business decisions and optimize processes across a wide range of financial products.
  • Supports delivery of regulatory changes and special initiatives.
  • Collaborate with a multi-region team working on data and program management initiatives.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication between business and technical teams, ensuring alignment and understanding.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Proven ability to work with complex interdependencies and multiple stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, consulting, technology, or related discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in data analytics and requirements gathering to support business objectives.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way.
  • Strong time management skills, efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure to deliver multiple business demands on-time.
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience of Product & Program Management and Agile disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of AI tools to accelerate insights & improve data analytics.
