About the Role
J.P. Morgan’s Liquidity & Account Solutions (“L&AS”) – within the Commercial & Investment Bank – works with global clients presenting complex cash management needs across multiple countries, currencies, and legal entities. This includes multi-national corporations, high-growth technology companies, commercial banks, non-bank financial institutions, central banks, and broker dealers. Our comprehensive solutions, combining Physical, Notional, and Virtual Solution capabilities, empower clients to achieve superior visibility, control, and optimization of working capital and Third-Party Money (“3PM”).
As a Payments Account Solutions Product Manager, you will be an integral leader shaping the future of product innovation, driving client value, and guiding successful launches. You will lead the end-to-end product life cycle, acting as the voice of the customer to develop profitable products. Leveraging your expertise in product development, you will oversee successful product launches, gather crucial feedback, and ensure top-tier client experiences. A strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability will guide your collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products that consistently exceed customer expectations.
Your responsibilities will also include driving the transformational change agenda of 3PM Virtual Solutions globally. This involves analyzing emerging client needs and regulatory developments, then designing and commercializing new products and solutions. Introducing existing Virtual Solutions Products (e.g., Virtual Account Management, Virtual Reference Numbers) to new geographies, understanding regulatory shifts, analyzing client business models, and anticipating market developments are core aspects of this dynamic role.
A solid understanding of the treasury and cash management needs of wholesale clients, particularly within the Fintech/eCommerce segment, is highly beneficial. Knowledge of the regulatory landscape governing financial institutions like J.P. Morgan is also advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a clear product strategy and product vision that consistently delivers value to customers.
- Manage discovery efforts and market research to uncover vital client solutions and seamlessly integrate them into the product roadmap.
- Collaborate closely with the bank’s Legal team to analyze regulations impacting J.P. Morgan, especially in the 3PM space, identifying associated risks and mitigants for products and client segments.
- Ensure robust risk and control frameworks are maintained, with an ongoing focus on adherence to KYC, AML, Reputation Risk, and other critical standards.
- Work in conjunction with Sales & Product Management teams to support complex liquidity solutioning for global clients.
- Identify innovative solutions and capabilities for evolving client segments, such as Virtual Asset Service Providers.
- Explore and implement innovative solutions to existing problems across the global Account Solutions team.
- Foster a deep understanding of how Virtual Solutions’ products integrate with the wider Liquidity & Account Solutions offerings of the bank.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Relevant experience in Financial Services, Consulting/Strategy, or Product Management roles.
- Advanced knowledge of the product development lifecycle, design principles, and data analytics.
- Proven ability to lead product lifecycle activities, including discovery, ideation, strategic development, requirements definition, and value management.
- Ability to develop viable strategies for business growth within the client set and take pragmatic steps to execute these strategies effectively.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills; innovative thinking and the ability to digest complex regulations and legal documentation are essential.
- Self-starter with strong networking and interpersonal capabilities, demonstrating a proven ability to influence stakeholders across various levels.
- Ability to navigate large organizations effectively to achieve goals and broker information, capable of forming strong partnerships in environments with multiple, overlapping stakeholders.
- Solid background in presenting and communicating complex information to senior stakeholders.
- Organized, self-motivated, and adept at working in a collaborative team environment.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel; keen attention to detail is critical.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- Vast knowledge in Payments and Liquidity products.
- MBA and/or CFA qualification.
