The Data Analytics Associate at JPMorganChase will join the Corporate and Investment Banking Global Finance and Business Management organization. This role assists with data and management reporting development for regulatory operations, offering the opportunity to learn core business processes, develop key metrics and management reporting, and provide critical decision support through ad hoc reporting and data analytics. As a Data Analytics Associate, you will work on high-impact initiatives that promote profitability and efficiency across the Commercial and Investment Banking organization, focusing on the ongoing development and maintenance of data analytics, insights, and reporting.
Job Responsibilities
- Define, monitor, and report key management metrics around the health of an operations program.
- Manage a high-volume and high-complexity reporting & dashboarding book of work, leveraging rigorous project management discipline.
- Partner with senior leaders to advance the business analysis and reporting agenda, delivering insights in areas like operational efficiency, cost modeling, capacity planning, and quality enhancements.
- Define, design, and drive high-priority strategic initiatives with senior-level visibility in the aforementioned areas.
- Develop a deep understanding of systems and processes to extract insights from existing data.
- Build strong partnerships with business, IT application owners, and data management teams to align on a roadmap for continual improvement and support in-flight projects.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills
- Hands-on experience with programming languages: SQL, Python/R.
- Proficiency with any data visualization tool, such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience with Jira & MS Office.
- Ability to understand business problems/processes and design data-rooted solutions/methodologies.
- Effective communication of insights/recommendations (verbal and written) with strong ownership.
- Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization).
- Team player with a demonstrated strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
- 4 to 7 years of experience, preferably (but not mandatory) in financial services or commercial banking.
- Graduate/Post Graduate degree, preferably with Computer, Finance, or Statistics as core areas.
- Knowledge of Cloud & Distributed file systems, e.g., AWS Redshift, AWS Databricks.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Sigma Computing.
