Program Overview: Asset Management Client Summer Analyst

The Asset Management Client Summer Analyst program at JPMorganChase begins in New York, providing participants with essential technical and practical knowledge to make an immediate impact. As a Summer Analyst, you will collaborate closely with senior business leaders to develop strategies that effectively support our clients' needs. This role involves working with teams dedicated to managing and distributing investment solutions across various asset classes for institutions and financial intermediaries.

Initially, you will gain a foundational understanding of our business before being placed with a team in areas such as sales support, marketing, business management, strategy, or training.

This is a rotational program, offering exposure to various roles including:

  • Institutional Sales: Engage with the industry's largest and most sophisticated clients, including global pension plans, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and central banks.
  • Marketing: Work with professionals to develop and implement marketing tactics, create compelling content, research and analyze products, and execute business development strategies.
  • Funds Management: Focus on distributing J.P. Morgan's investment capabilities to broker-dealers, insurance companies, asset managers, banks, and registered investment advisors. This includes U.S. and non-U.S. mutual funds, separate accounts, and alternative investments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support client sales and retention efforts, gaining broad exposure to diverse asset classes and investment professionals across the firm.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors and investment consultants to deliver quantitative and qualitative analysis, conduct market research, and assist in strategic planning to achieve client investment objectives.
  • Cultivate relationships with a diverse range of institutional clients, including top pension plans, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, foundations, and central banks.
  • Learn about various asset allocation strategies and identify investment capabilities across traditional and alternative strategies to meet client needs.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (excluding MBA).
  • Enrolled at a college/university in the U.S.
  • Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills and a genuine passion for investing.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and proven multitasking ability.
  • Strong initiative, energy, and confidence.
  • Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • A background in financial accounting, financial analysis, or mathematics is highly advantageous.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets, investing, and macro-level economics.
